Retired Oldroars Post Due To Going Way Off Topic And Original Issue Getting Resolved.

The problem he complained about has been resolved and the additional problems are being dilligantly worked on. Tracking and fixing bugs arnt as easy as snapping fingers. There is NO flawless mmo. MMOs are in a state of constant development. Every enhancement risks the integrity of the game. You want expansions and event and new you need to tough up and realize that this is not a stand alone game you buy off the shelf and wait for an expansion or sequal to come out. This is an organic application tested by thousands every day and the less than 100 developers not only have to invent new things to keep people interested but also fix things as they appear. This is an everyday. Development cycle and there will be bugs.

Now about the posts that followed oldroars post. Guys remember negativity breeds negaivity. The more we poor out into our family the more our family will suffer. Please keep things constructive. Its hard enough to keep ourselves going everyday we don't need to constantly bash the only place many of us call home.

Regarding rerolls. I'm happy there here. Yes there are idiots and asshats nut that's life. There are dozens of quality people for every one asshat. They just don't make their presence so well known. Hold onto the good ones and ignore the bad. Fresh blood on the server keeps thing fresh and ever changing. Frankly I'm glad some new opponents have risen I was getting bored with all the empty keep taking.

Now my thumbs are soar and my cell phone is low battery. Ill try to be on tonight for a we bit.

You're right, Foghladha. I'm sorry for taking part in it. Iwas really frustrated after ELEVEN disconnects while i was trying to lead at Elf T3. But you all know I love this game, despite hating its just a little bit for some seconds from time to time. LOL But lets try to keep it positive from now on.

I am sorry Fog but I have to disagree with your move on this one. Old and everyone else has the right to voice their frustration about what they went through thanks to Mythic/Bioware lack of foresight about releasing a heavy patch and having a double renown weekend to test it just as many of the very people who are instrumental in fixing them were not available. Censoring our own just seems wrong.

I tend to agree with doc removeing the post was a bad thing... its many a time that both in game and on vent and even a few times here ive heard said that we wellcome aposeing points of view and the chance to discuss them in a calm rational way ..aka no cussing name calling that sort of thing. the post that was removed did show some frustration which is totally understandable and those people that posted on that thread had every right to voice there view points on it. silencing people from sharing there points of veiw reguardless on how a person feels on the subject weather its negitive toward a company or a person is not right.

Guys, The problem wasnt in expressing ones opinion it was in alienating other members of the family. I removed it because it was hurtful to the few wonderful people that we have picked up since players started transfering to our servers. We've got DOZENS and i do mean DOZENS of people who came from the EU Servers, Iron Rock, Gorfang. That you can blame directly on me. I've been promoting Battle for Badlands in the General warhammer forums and new player discussions. This draws people to play with us. So by lashing out and saying ITS ALL THOSE BLOODY TRANSFERS FAULT. Your essentially cutting the heart out of a lot of our newest members. Now if thats OK, then we are not family at all. Those new members that came from foreign lands deserve to have fun playing this game just as much as the rest of you. Oldroars post started off right but then got segwayed into a lets bash all the various reasons that warhammer sucks. Including the people coming from far areas of the world to play with us. Thats called peeing on those that you rely on day after day. You simply don't do it and expect to keep your reputation clean. In addition realize there are 802 active players currently registered to this site, My mission since I started these events is to bring people to Warhammer. By making a dissertation on how warhammer sucks your peeing on everything we have done, Everything we stand for, and everything we will do. Yes warhammer has rough spots. But the roughest spot is the negativity of the players and unwillingness to forgive problems that arise. Im sorry but simple frustrations yes go ahead and speak them but going off on more tangents then i can could and pointing at every single little flaw in the game is a wee bit on the overkill. If you don't like the game don't play it guys. You should be looking forward to logging in if your not then please for your own sake find something that you do enjoy to do. Your happiness is much more valuable than a stupid level or loot piece in a mmo that someday will turn off and go away. I love all of you guys and I hate to see anyone wasting their life doing something they don't enjoy your all more valuable than that.

My rant was not meant to any people who joined badlands or participate in Destro or order play. My frustration was with the game itself. Yes I played allot last weekend and I did go up several renown levels but not without frustration for myself and for others also. I have been in software development for 35 years. I have created systems that impacted thousands of people at a time. My life was not only development but was also for the support of the frustrated customers. My frustration was that there were problems which I know affected most people (destro and order alike) and the problems were reported. The resolution to rhe problems were not being addressed in my view. I at least expected a note on the herald stating they were aware of the problem and were working on a solution .. But nothing! When we did get some support it was on Wednesday afternon with a server restart. Maybe there were other fixes but not were identified. In a customer support and development environment there has to be a tight connection to determine if problems are occuring on a repeated basis which need immediate attention by software teams to determine their severity. My choice was to just not play until some action was taken. Number of players.. Wonderful.. Lets get more but not until The servers can support the load.. The network code is scaled for that code and information is put out to users on minimum performance requirements for pc's to support that load. Sorry.. I didnt meant to creat a problem but at 64 stress is not fun.. it is work and I dont play WH to work.

I dont see where you created a problem bro so dont sweat it ,, though im not in game now , due to work, i do keep tabs on the boards fairly reguarly and its nice to see post like yours from time to time ,, it keeps me up todate with whats going on both good and bad,,, while it saddens me that you and many others had the problem and while I agree from what ive read so for on the problem, it was vary sad indeed that mythic kind of dropped the ball on the whole thing ,, atleast in the comunication area.. All in all bro dont get to down on it ,,, things like this do happen in the gameing word ,, for me my self im just glad they dont happen every day :P -)

The reason I removed Oldroars post had nothing to do with Oldroars post. It was because of the blame game that happend in the replys. People were geting upset at the fact that the reason warhammer sucks is because people left their home server to play with us or try to enjoy the game. It went way off topic and was starting to stir the waters and comprimise the happyness of the family. Blades out not in.

Don't feel bad in the least Oldroar, I also vented my frustrations. But it is because of this great alliance and the people I play with that I felt comfortable doing so. Because we all felt like we were being ignored by Mythic(because these issues were not just that last weekend, but had been going on for weeks) I think it helped us a great deal to be able to share these problems with the family. Here, we were not ignored, but validated in our concerns. And that is another reason alliances and guilds exist in my opinion. When I was a kid, my first job was as an MCI customer service rep(way back then yes LOL). We had to take a four week training course on customer service before we were allowed to answer calls. One thing that stuck out to me that they taught us was that when a customer calls in to complain or vent their frustrations with the company about an issue, its actually a good thing. It means they are giving the company a chance to get things squared away, giving us a chance to keep them as a customer. They told us it was the customer that doesn't call that was the bigger worry. Because they are the ones that would just leave because they no longer have confidence in the company for anything to be resolved. Personally, I think because we got to share these very valid worries, it helped us sustain our patience with the whole situation even though Mythic was MIA. And I have to add, when I saw oldroar's post, I wasn't upset, I was relieved, because I didn't feel alone anymore and had a little hope. I felt if we started to actually talk about things, and voice our concerns together as a family, (and we are a powerful family when we work together) there would be a better chance something actually might get resolved :D

The Post Was Not Deleted Because of Oldroar Guys I really want to get this across. Oldroar did nothing wrong. The post went off topic, the original issue was resolved, and the tangent the post went on started offending members. Thats the bottom line. Oldroar is still my right hand man and always will be. I appreciate his original post and it gave me a heads up to get that Battle for Badlands canceled. Without his heads up I would have never known there were such issues. It was the offtopic posts that were getting downright offensive to a lot of our members.

Yes, yes, it just seemed maybe Oldroar felt a little bad about the post. I wanted him to know that he shouldn't and it was helpful to me and others - off topic stuff aside. :)

I agree there's a big difference between saying you're frustrated about Mythic lapse to respond -- or even communicate acknowledgement -- of the problem, and starting a blame game against our new friends. I come from a place that Mythic still completely ignores (I'm Brazilian), and I am as "foreigner" than any other European player that joined the game. Brazilians get a lot of (somewhat deserved) hate on WoW and other MMOs, mostly because we are the true "Zerg". If a game becomes "cool" here, we join in numbers that have 6 digits. And once we become a large part of population, we refuse to speak other languages than our own -- somewhat like the parisienne, lol. I don't usually do that (er... being Brazillian makes me part of some zergs, but I try to communicate in common language), but I'm used to receive the blame for server problems just because I'm "not-north-american". So I COMPLETELY agree with those who fight against this kind of prejudice. So... we are all frustrated about the lag and disconnects, and it felt good to share some of this frustration at the first moment. But its time to be a little more positive about it. If RvR becomes impossible in certain moments due to lag, how about doing Tome Unlock expeditions or Dungeons? How about having some fun with chicken runs, or such? Whatever we do, lets remember we're here to have fun and make friends, not to get all stressed up and frustrated. Share the love whenever possible. Blessed Be. P.S. Oldroar... you're GREAT man.
