Family Matters

Guys,
Not sure why every time I leave the computer for a short while things have to come up and I end up having to trouble shoot things on my vacation, or away time, from a cell phone. It's been brought to my attention that there is a lot of Animosity going around towards players from other servers, and foreigners who transfered to our server.

Please be considerate. Blaming others for the woes of the server is not their fault. I am very happy to have the chance to have our family in front of players who normally would never have had a chance to meet us. The Gaiscioch Family alone has gotten a good number of members who came from other servers. This is our lifeblood. The whole reason we are as large as we are is due to the fact that we go out into the world and cause a ripple that gets noticed outside the server boundaries. We attract players from the far reaches of the world and this is our Reputation that proceeds us. Don't spit on this reputation and hard work we have all put in. This is our success.

Honestly I feel that the reason Badlands is so strong is largely in part of the Tuatha and the effect we have. We are attracting people to badlands because of our commitment to the server. We have created several key events that are open to everyone and are enjoyable by a vast population. The Battle for Badlands trailer even made it into the G4TV top fan made video list. Battle for Badlands is very wide spread and the promotional and social side of the event are spreading like wildfire. This will attract people. This also will help make us strong and see to our longevity. Does this take players away from other servers possibly. But until Mythic gives some type of bonuses and takes off the free trials for Badlands this server will continue to grow while the others shrink. If the other servers had a Tuatha like group Im sure they would be just as popular. People flock to success and success is the one thing were known very well for.

The point is how many of you Started on Badlands? I started on Phoenix Throne, Ltol started on Magnus, Blocked from Ostmark, Doctorfixit came from Iron Rock Destro. Fact is We almost ALL came from another server at one point. And the Family is what brought us together. Don't shun the very same thing that brought you into the family. Don't build walls between us and new people who are getting the Tuatha/Gaiscioch experience for the first time. We cut our life line and we'll find ourselves in another dead guild/alliance. Fact is many people come here because their server population is dying. Yes Mythic needs to do something about this but in the mean time lets find those gems in the rough and get them involved. Whether there from the EU servers, the Asian servers or the US servers. If their friendly and casual and love to smash face we want them involved. We came from far and wide and We created the family, We are this family. Let this Family shine bright and attract all those looking for Fun and Casual play.

I agree as well. Although, I think I did offer my opinion on Mythic's lack of available producers on a large patch day in there somewhere. Having played on low pop servers though after release I can say that no matter what it's better to be overpopulated than under. I knew alot of folks that left for good because of the circumstances. I'm hoping that the server issues can be ironed out though. I'd much rather have a War with some future left rather than not one at all.

i agree with fog here i cam from ostermark orginally and then to phoneix and finally to badlands been destro and order so rember all things always work out in the end just have patience.Now going back to my school work lol

I didn't realize we had any issues, but for the folks who are complaining about this subject (luckily Ben is being diplomatic so I don't have to...): Give me a break. First off, how in the world are rerolls here bad? Sure a few of us are having stability issues, but it still remains to be seen if it's caused by a higher population or the patch. One might say it's a good thing that we have high pop b/c it pressures Mythic into creating more stability in order to handle bigger fights which then leads to, at some point, more stable Fort fights (which all the Veterans would LOVE to see come back, just more stable). Second, we're going to need all the possible Order rerolls as possible. Have you SEEN how many Destro rerolls there are in T2 and T3? We need every single person. Not only that, but we've gotten some DAMN good players. Third, if you're complaining about all the Destro rerolls...well sure T2/T3 are a bit hairy at times, but 50% of the time I log on we either have a single keep and/or have the map in T2 and T3. Don't forget that's what AAO is for. Go defend a keep for a couple hours and your rr/inf will sky rocket. Also, T4 Destro have been getting their butts KICKED lately and they need some new guys otherwise this server might end up like Ironrock. It's almost ALWAYS a good thing to get more players. If there are players you don't like, do the same thing you've always had to: "/ignore" and move on, but for the most part there's a good amount of quality players that are coming here. Trust me, big, crazy fights are much more fun than the ghost towns Ironrock is now and Phoenix Throne was before the merge to Badlands. Seriously guys. Grow up. (Mainly directed at the folks complaining)

I would like to offer a /salute to the folk who transferred to Badlands. Immigration is a risky and dangerous adventure, and there are often casualties. Here is a little bit of our story: Our guild first came to Warhammer on the Avelorn server. When Avelorn was shut down, we had to decide where to move. Almost everyone had some kind of character / server destination conflicts. There was no way to solve it for everyone, but we made the best choice we could. Unfortunately, we still ended up loosing over half of our members when we immigrated to Phoenix Throne. When Phoenix Throne was shut down, our move to Badlands went a lot smoother. But we still ended up loosing two more of our guildies.

I would just like to charge my beer and salute to the family! I am 'Originally' from Darklands (Oceanic server) sicne closed beta and have been Destro my hole life till NOW. When the oceanic servers where pretty much dead and was impossible to even get a 6 man team together to take a BO i re-rolled another destro toon on Dark Crag RvR server till my daughter was born then stopped playing WAR to play happy family's, by the time i came back to WAR i found the server had been deleted along with ALL Oceanic servers so i xfered all my Destro to Volkmar and played there for a bit but found the population hard, lvling in t2 and t3 was PAINFUL and i begun to think scens where deleted from t2 and t3 as i didnt get 1 pop when i lvled up a new toon coz of t4 being dead at times. Volk became a rollercoaster of mega highs and mega lows so i thought what they hey i'll give Order a go as i have always loved the SW and have found myself very happy here. If it wasnt for this family i would still feel like an out cast roaming around like a lost sheep following the flocks and with no friends to talk to. This family has showed nothing but support and when i say i am from Destro no one has shun me, every one has open there arms and held me to there boosum like an infent and showed me the ropes, hell i didnt even know my way to the bank in Altdorf lol. But most of all i wouldnt have made grate friends with people from ALL over the world from all walks of life and i have rlly enjoyed talking to people about our 'life' (WAR Life) experiances and hearing what people have to say, it's wonderful. Hmmm i have found myself waffleing on so i'll stop here but with out us all being from some where with our skills we have learnt from others in other places then we wouldnt be the skilled family we are today :) *finnished beer* Holo Brad
