Think I've Figured Out The Disconnect Bug. Now Wheres That Andy Guy.

Think I know whats causing the disconnect bug when zoning.

Character A moves From Server A to Server B.

Server A doesnt let go of the character until after Server B tries to render.

What happens when you try to log into your account when your character is already online? It kicks you back to the character screen. When Server A doesn't release the character for server B it causes a conflict which kicks you out of the game. Then the million retries is the time it takes for the server to say "Oh look their now here I guess I can let them log in again."

So from the things I've tested this looks like the most probable cause of the issue. I will try to submit this as a bug report to Andy and see if I'm even close. But from the way it behaves it appears its a duplicate character logged in at the same time issue.

So you're saying my wife didn't sabotage my computer and then flood the forums with people complaining of the same issue?? /facepalm... Anyone know how to reconnect brakes on a Ford Explorer??

actually I think it is an AI love hate relationship. Server A loves your playing with it. Sever B want to have the fun also and when server B says my turn Server A says no way this toon is mine and wont release. Server B says "FINE" if I cant have the toon neither can you!!! Now you are on the character screen. Then Both Servers have an arguement and neither will let the toon in. Sometimes Server A gets its way and you appear back on server A. Server A is hoping you will stay but when you try and leave she slams the server door and say "dont come back again"!!! Now you are on the desktop!!! We have to many smarts in the servers I think.

I think to know why the server begins to fail you need to know who the sever IS. You see server A was born the bastard child of a EQ opening day server that failed to initializean and in shame left that network. What server a didn't realize of course was that he had a brother,a very competitive brother. Server A spent his days and nights running from his memories and to his destiny. Now that time had passed Server A has surpassed his competition down to the final 4! It is here in these final rounds server A realizes he may have to face his greatest challenge, his brother, sever B. While server A can't bear the shame of defeat, his brother, server b is made from the same stock. This will be an epic battle.... You hear me? Epic... By they way Fog, I told my wife you said I should buy a new one. She is not amused... ;)
