Sorry for having to jet from vent when the destro leader was unhappy...

I had some major gf aggro and had to leave vent immediately. Apparently I was too loud while shouting last minute orders into ventrillo. (I got excited...who knew?)

The fact remains the both of us didn't have the rules quite right. I thought bo's counted for 1 point and thought we got 5 points as long as we got a dtick to show. He also thought they got 5 points as long as they got a dtick to show. Neither one of us read the rules the best we possibly could. Now we both know the rules.

Bottom line: he did a damn, damn good job. It truly was neck and neck. I feel bad for whoever leads Order next time b/c whoever led Destro did a great job.

I left after being called a bitch. I guess it is my age showing but somewhere the word respect was missing. I am a girl but that does not make me a bitch. I was a good job by all leaders on both sides. Lisa

The guy who very vocal and disrespectful on vent was eventually banned. I tried to get him sooner but could not tell who it was with everyone chatting it up. Other than that it was a good night for Battle for Badlands.

@Lisa. I personally don't think you are a bitch, but are you saying that if he said something like, "With all due respect, you are a bitch." you would have been okay with it? ;)

Unfortunately sometimes when you open your doors to everyone some unsavory elements can get in as well. One of the great things about this guild is that we generally don't have to deal with that kind of obnoxious twit. But that also means it can be jarring when it does happen. After the juveniles were expelled, however, I found the Destro guys a lot of fun to talk to. It was great hearing everything from their perspective.

well to all i waited a long time for this night to team up with vamp and show the tuatha that me and him are a good team togeather with Old roar as our back up and backbone when me and vamp get zoned into our plans. Was fun night and i kinda felt bad for destro cause they got all the fight and will that me and vamp wanted to do aginst ben. Never the less the only complaint i have is control of vent when the event is going on. For now on i think there should be a channel for just the leaders to be in that way they can talk in peace and then send orders to thier war bands in game.

@Knuck Pretty sure that you can setup whisper commands in Vent. So with some creative hot key manipulation I think you could get all the leaders in a "channel" without leaving the main "channel". Be worth testing in vent.

@Knuckles and Stean I just think we need to practice a bit of comms restraint. The leaders have to filter a lot of info. I know I try to pass things up in tells and they can process them as they see fit. If we have a bunch of chatter and joking it is not hard to miss real orders. I am not saying we should be a strict military comms but just a little more controlled during events. I don't know if the leaders need an exclusive channel so much IMO.

Stean's correct - I havent had the need to do it since 40mans. Just be warned - be sure you hit the correct key - our old GM never came back after her miss-key'd comments.... such dirty laundry If you just need to hear - with admin privs you can simply Phantom in a channel - basically logging in a few times. I just pulled this off my WoW guild's forum.. should still work - if not WarChilde is in for a world of grief for not maintaining stuff. From the top down you have, User name then server then BINDINGS. Click the arrow next to the BINDINGS window. You should get a window and you need to name the bind. BIND NAME = (example) To Command Now in the bottom left corner click "ADD", in this menu select PTT ADVANCED. Select a HOT KEY (preferably something close to your current hot key for push to talk). Then Press OK. Now to set up what channel it goes to. Click "EDIT DETAILS". Select CHANNEL BY NAME. Now next to where you can enter the channel name there is a small button with 3 decimal points on it. Click that button. Here you can choose what channels your new (secondary) hot key will transmit to. Add the channel(S) and click ok. After all this is done look at your bindings at the top of the ventrilo channel screen and click the down arrow next to bindings and select your binding. If it says there are "none" there, you need to switch it. Oh.. and if you have the bind to a passworded private "room" they need the pw or they cannot speak.
