Warcraft movie

We went to see the Warcraft movie last night and enjoyed it! I would give it one thumbs up; there were a couple of things that I was meh about and a couple that I was wut?? about, but overall a fun 1:40. We saw in IMAX 3D and it was worth it. Next time we go, though, we'll just see it on the regular screen ($$!). 

So, don't let the critics scare you off. Rotten Tomatoes tells the story, 27% of critics liked it, 83% of audience. If you enjoy the lore of the Warcraft universe, sweeping vistas and that guy from Vikings (oh and that chick from Agents of Shield!), and if you would get a kick out of seeing familiar scenes from Azeroth in cinematic CGI glory, you will enjoy this movie.

Oh and there are orcs. Many, many orcs. (For the Horde!)

Thank you for the review! I have never played WoW but always wanted to. It might actually be better for me, because my expectations will be much lower, lol.

Hi, Sola! It's possible that the story might be a bit hard to follow but I wouldn't let that discourage you, necessarily. I can't really see Warcraft from that perspective because I've played the MMO since beta and also played a couple of the strategy games too, so the story is already in my head.

I still think it would still be fun to watch even if you aren't already a WoWnerd. Lots of swords and sorcery, some cool spell effects, pretty scenery and epic battles. Let me know if you go!

I enjoyed it, as well.  For those undoctrinated souls (Is that a word? It is now!), here's a link that gives some info about parts that the movie doesn't explain.  I think they do a good job of not giving away the movie while still giving a few minor spoilers.  Leave it to cnet to take care of everyone.

i loved the movie, and if you see it in a Regal theater, you get a free copy of the game with expansions!!

I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was a good movie, but I am a fan of the Warcraft universe. I think if I was someone who has heard of Warcraft, but never played it, I may not have liked it much. Not much was explained. Still, it was a good movie to me. Besides, I did get a "free" copy of the game.

We went all out and saw it in 3D, because wanted to see an Orc come flying at my face. *spoiler* I wasn' t disappointed =)

I saw the movie last night and enjoyed it very much. I want to see it again though so I can take it all in  again and catch more on the second view.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.
